About Tours

Tours are hosted by YLWD staff and are designed to give residents an opportunity to learn more about YLWD and to answer your questions regarding the District. YLWD Tours offer customers a chance to get a behind-the-scenes look at our facilities to learn how our water system works, meet the people who work diligently to provide high quality, safe drinking water to your home, help you understand your water supply, and become a more efficient water user.

Tour Types

We offer two types of tours: 1-hour tours and half-day tours.

1-Hour Tour

The 1-hour tour takes place at our headquarters. We start with an overview of YLWD and then tour the nation’s largest PFAS Water Treatment Plant.

Half-Day Tour

On the half-day tour, you start at our headquarters with an overview of YLWD and a Treatment plant tour. From there, you are transported to YLWD sites to see water infrastructure, like reservoirs, booster pump stations, and helicopter hydrants.
